Dominant Djokovic is back as he storms to 40-0. Or is he?

Back-to-back errors bring Tsitsipas back into contention but the Greek then pings a forehand into the net.

Djokovic is swinging freely now having gone down a break. He realises he has to take control back in these rallies.

How does he do it?! Novak Djokovic has more elasticity than Stretch Armstrong.

The way in which he retrieves the ball and forces Tsitsipas into an error for the break point is stunning.

Pretty sure Tsitsipas didn't think it was going to come back and when it did his mind was scrambled.

Tsitsipas saves break point with a forehand batted into open court.

    Deuce.

  7. Break-back point Djokovicpublished at 10:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 January 2023

    *Tsitsipas 3-6 6-7 (4-7) 1-0 Djokovic

Corrrr, a gorgeous - yet very, very lucky - drop shot from Tsitsipas clips the net cord and plonks right down on Djokovic's side of the court.

Djokovic gifts him the next point for 30-0 but Tsitsipas can only steer a backhand into the net.

A backhand winner brings Djokovic level, and - after an astonishing return - Djokovic has break-back point.

Djokovic has given Tsitsipas a gift. A lot of ball bouncing, I still don't think he is comfortable and he won that second set more from the errors of Tsitsipas.

This has really given Tsitsipas a lift.

    Tsitsipas breaks. At last!

Djokovic puts too much juice behind a backhand and it lands between the tramlines.

A much-needed boost for the Greek.

Tsitsipas moves 0-30 ahead with a forehand whipped cross-court, but then slams a backhand into the net.

He walks over to the chair umpire to complain about something in the crowd, something in his eyeline?

While Djokovic takes the full allocation of five minutes to change and go to the loo, Tsitsipas stays loose on the baseline.

Aptly, the tune being played as he waits is Robbie Williams' Rock DJ.
