  3. Eighth end under waypublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2018

    Curling women's semi-final: Great Britain 3-8 Sweden

That was a difficult shot for Muirhead to make - the tiniest of knocks from the guard and it stopped that stone in its tracks.

Into end eight we go, and it's Sweden with the hammer.

  4. 'GB hopes reach a low point'published at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2018

That is three to Sweden and Great Britain's hopes may well have reached such a low point in that end that it is going to be so difficult to come back.

  5. Sweden extend lead after seven endspublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 February 2018

    Curling women's semi-final: Great Britain 3-8 Sweden

    No! Missed!

Eve Muirhead tries to sneak into the house but ends up catching her own guard. The stone ends up on the edge of the circle.

That means Sweden steal three, and it's a long way back for GB...

    Bash!

Anna Hassleborg hits those two yellows with pinpoint accuracy, taking them both out.

GB will have to settle for one.

A furious clatter of the brush from Eve Muirhead tells you what you need to know.

She gets a second yellow into the house but there's a bit too much on it - it brushes the stone that's already in there, and she's created a bit of a gap for Anna Hasselborg.

One good shot could clear those GB stones out...

That's the first error from Anna Hasselborg!

She's got two GB stones in a line - and she drifts her shot past all of them!

What's Muirhead got up her sleeve? The Brits have the hammer. They need to sneak two...

    There's two stones remaining.

GB are the closest to the centre but there's a little bit of room there for Anna Hasselborg to break her way through.

Even though there is a huge support for the hosts South Korea, there is a heck of a lot of Canadians here too.

When they bought their tickets they probably thought it was a safe bet that the Canadian women’s team would be in the semis, having never failed to qualify for this stage before.

But Great Britain ended their chances in the round robin stage.

“We still love curling,” one Canada fan told me as he queued up to buy beer.

    “It’s great Friday night entertainment.”

She gets the stone into the house and knocks the two reds further away from one another.

Out goes one Swedish red, but there's still two of them nestled close together in the centre of the house.

Muirhead tips her head back in irritation.

Two sets of Swedish fans on adjacent sides of the curling arena are making long-distant friends by chanting in their native tongue.

    Awwww, curling friends.
