    Semi-final: USA 0-0 Great Britain

The good news for those who haven't been following the curling so far: Great Britain qualified top of the round-robin pool stage with eight wins from nine games.

The bad news: their only defeat was at the hands of the United States, going down 9-7.

The United States are defending champions from Pyeongchang, but were fifth in the recent world championships.

The pipes play Scotland the Brave once again, as before every session.

Hopefully it gets this Scottish quartet fired up for a huge match. Though maybe not when you've heard it about 50 times already.

On paper and on form, GB should take this match. But never write off John Shuster's USA.

They snuck into the semi-finals four years ago and stunned the curling world by going on to take gold.

They're underdogs, but they'll relish that.

There have been iconic figures from heart-wrenching films such as the girl in the red coat from Schindler's List, anime characters, and let's be honest, what screams figure skating more than borrowing from musicals!

Our friends from BBC Bitesize go through some of there highlights here.

Olympic gold medallist curler on BBC TV

John Shuster is a terrier but the GB boys are playing so well and their momentum has just grown every single game this week and just dominating the game out there.

I don't think it would matter what John Shuster throws at them tonight, they're ready and they're here to do a job.

They've performed so well as a team and everything they're doing is so calm and calculated and it is just clinical, and that is what is so nice to watch.

It's a treat for us as spectators, you don't get nervous because you just feel like they're in control all the time.

I've got no doubts for this evening's game whatsoever.

  20. Watch: Shiffrin suffers more disappointmentpublished at 11:16 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2022

United States superstar Mikaela Shiffrin's Olympic campaign continued to disintegrate with a third failure to finish costing her any hope of combined gold.

The 26-year-old, who had pulled up early in the slalom and giant slalom individual events earlier in the Games, was beaten to gold by defending champion Michelle Gisin of Switzerland.

Shiffrin will have a final chance to win a medal in Saturday's mixed team parallel slalom event.
