Elliott eyes 10-fight streak after UFC 304 win

Oban Elliott has targeted a 10-fight winning streak after victory at UFC 304 saw the Welshman earn a seventh consecutive win.
A patient performance from the 26-year-old saw him nullify the takedown threats of American Preston Parsons to earn a unanimous decision win in Manchester.
"Seven in a row, that’s no joke, is it? I’m fighting the best of the best, I’m happy with that,” Elliott said.
"Let’s make it 10 or 20, I don’t see myself stopping any time soon."
Elliott showed great maturity to make it two wins from two in his UFC career.
"I just had to be smart in there," he added.
"It was my fight to lose if I got overzealous. It takes two people to make an exciting fight and I just kept behind the jab."
Elliott says he is proud to be able to put his hometown, Merthyr Tydfil, on the map through his UFC success.
"It's just a small valley, but my dad, god bless him, how proud he would be to be seeing this,” he said.

'It was an out-of-body experience'
Elliott, nicknamed the Welsh Gangster, said any pre-fight nerves disappeared because he felt he “was home” when he arrived at Co-op Live, the venue for his triumph over Parsons.
"I loved it, bring on big full crowds like that,” he said.
"The energy I felt, it made the fight easier. It was an out-of-body experience - I loved it.
"If you’ve got a dream, make sure you go and do it because if it pays off. I cannot even put it into words, it was unbelievable."
Asked about his plans for the rest of 2024, Elliott threw his hat into the ring to fight in November when Jon Jones meets Stipe Miocic, a bout which was previously called off when heavyweight champion Jones tore his pec.
"I'd love that," said Elliott.
"If you've put me on 298 [pay per view card] in the Honda Centre and 304 on the biggest UK card in history, why not chuck me on the Jon Jones card as well?"
"The way things are going, why not? Just enjoy it as it comes every moment."
Elliott added that he would not “throw toys out the pram” should he not be part of the Jones card.
He also teased the idea of a potential WWE appearance, with a premium live event in Germany to come at the end of August.
"I think I’ve got some business in Berlin under the TKO banner and I’ll leave it at that," he said.
