Mason Jones put in an impressive display as he defeated Michael Pagani at Cage Warriors 175 in Manchester.
'The Dragon' continued his dominant form with victory by unanimous decision.
Jones has won four straight fights in Cage Warriors since leaving the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2022, though this is the first of those to go the distance.
In winning the lightweight bout, the Blaenavon fighter handed Italy’s Pagani his first professional loss.
Jones, 29, now boasts a professional record of 15 wins and two losses, with one no-contest.
The Welshman called it his “toughest fight in Cage Warriors so far”.
With UFC 304 also in Manchester this week, Jones showed the high-level abilities that could land him a deal to return to the promotion.
Italy’s Dario Bellandi successfully defended his middleweight title against Robin Roos in the co-main event by unanimous decision.
Wrexham’s Ieuan Davies improved his professional record to 5-0 with a win over Ireland’s Adam Shelley.
Davies took the win in the second round with a rear naked choke submission.
