Cong baffles rival with Joker face paint at weigh-in

China's Wang Cong wore face paint replicating comic book character the Joker to weigh-in for her fight against Gabriella Fernandes on Saturday - much to the confusion of the Brazilian.

Cong, 32, tossed an imaginary coin before pretending to shoot a gun, in the vein of the DC Comics supervillain, before her UFC Fight Night bout in Macau, China.

Fernandes, 31, wore a bewildered expression before shrugging her shoulders and asking Cong "what?".

Cong, whose nickname is 'The Joker', has had an impressive start to her UFC career after securing two first-round finishes.

Fellow flyweight Fernandes is looking to build on her victory over Carli Judice in June, having lost her first two bouts in the promotion.

On the undercard, English flyweight Lone'er Kavanagh makes his UFC debut against Peru's Jose Ochoa, after earning a contract through Dana White's Contender Series in August.

The event is headlined by a bantamweight clash between Brazil's Deiveson Figueiredo and Russia's Petr Yan.
