Edwards has a fantastic left uppercut counter and he plants it right on the chin of Eblen. It took two and a half minutes for Eblen to drag Edwards down on to the canvas. Eblen is now eight for eight on takedowns.

Brilliant striking skills are on show from Edwards as he hits Eblen with a counter left hand. Eblen, like much of the first round, has Edwards pushed up against the cage and now has his back on the canvas.

Second time lucky for Fabian Edwards?
The Brit fought Johnny Eblen at Bellator 299 for the Bellator middleweight title over a year ago and was stopped in the third round by the American.
As you'll see in the video below, Edwards was right in the fight until the moment an overhand right landed from Eblen.
Ngannou v Ferreira
Francis Ngannou was last in action in the cage in 2022, when he easily outpointed Ciryl Gane in undisputed heavyweight title fight in the UFC.
Ngannou was injured going into the match-up, but still managed to confirm his status as the UFC's premier heavyweight and retain his title.
It wasn't a vintage performance by any means and few would have predicted it would be over two years before Ngannou would appear again in MMA.
Conor McGregor has popped up on X to praise Paul Hughes.

Francis Ngannou took a risk many in his position would not dream of when he left the UFC last year as its heavyweight champion.
His stature in the promotion would have commanded a lucrative contract but Ngannou wanted more than that - he wanted "freedom".
Ngannou wanted to box but the UFC wouldn't let him, so he took matters into his own hands.
Now he returns to the cage against Renan Ferreira, nearly three years since his last MMA fight, as one of the biggest combat sports athletes on the planet.
