BMW rider Toprak Razgatlioglu has won race one at Donington Park to extend his lead at the top of the World Superbike Championship standings.
Great Britain's Alex Lowes was a strong second at his home race as he finished 11.3 seconds behind Razgatlioglu on his Kawasaki.
The victory for the Turkish rider - his fifth in a row - extended his championship lead to 33 points over reigning champion Alvaro Bautista, who was third, and his Duacti team-mate Nicolo Bugela, who finished in fourth place.
Northern Ireland's six-time champion Jonathan Rea was fifth to equal his best result of the season since moving to Yamaha.
Home rider Scott Redding was set for his best performance of the season before a mechanical issue on his BMW put him out of the race with four laps to go when he was running in fifth position.
The sprint race at Donington takes place on Sunday morning before the second feature race at 14:00 BST.
