Peter Hickman might be so frustrated and upset by this [the Superbike race] that it might impact his ride now in the Supersport.

There is no one more fired up than Michael Dunlop on this grid today. He has got three wins so far and he knows he can win the Supersport race on this bike.

It's fair to say that Peter Hickman had a different view than Michael Dunlop.
Don't forget, Hickman also skipped across the chicane but cut across the grass to put his foot down, while Dunlop said he didn't feel it was safe to do that.

It is very, very hard as Michael Dunlop believes he has done it right.

That is what stewards are for in fairness.
We all have our opinions on what went on, but the stewards are the ones who say yes or no. I dare say that with the mood that Peter Hickman was in that he'll put in a protest.

Have we got our breath back yet?
Let's hope so, because the Supersport bikes are on the grid.
It's was Todd and Hickman v Dunlop (and Cooper and Harrison) on Thursday, so we'll see what happens in this one.
Here's Michael Dunlop's view on the lap one incident at Mather's Cross.

Clearly Davey Todd and Peter Hickman feel hard done by with the result and they are in their right to do that.
It is a 50/50. The unfortunate thing is on that section of the track, there is a little bit of a footpath which you can run on and use. If they were on Juniper Hill chicane that is not the case and if you run on there, you are either in the gravel, grass or through the chicane.
That is where the issue comes from, it is classed as a grey issue. It clearly states in the rules if you miss the chicane or overshoot the chicane you have to stop. I'm not going to say what side of the team I'm on but it's sad to see the guys upset.
8Ten Racing's Davey Todd when told Michael Dunlop won the race, speaking on BBC iPlayer:
"Fair play to him he is obviously riding well but we should have won the race anyway.
"We were miles in front and we had a technical issue with the bike and it started riding really slow. I don't know what's wrong with it and I wasn't sure if it was going to finish.
"I have no words. There is a rule and they just change the rules to suit whoever it suits."
Here's another look at the controversial moment in the Superbike race.
Michael Dunlop was handed a penalty, took the chequered flag ahead of Davey Todd after passing him and then his penalty was rescinded.

Peter Hickman has stuck to his word and didn't go on the podium.
Davey Todd has took his place on the second step, and Dunlop the top step.
It's a hat-trick for Michael Dunlop at this year's North West 200.
Davey Todd looks distraught in his interview and Peter Hickman comes across and tells him 'you won that race', and then says he won't be going on the podium.
I don't think we've heard the last of this one.
Here's the moment Michael Dunlop took the chequered flag in the Superbike race.
He hadn't won it, and now it appears he has.

8Ten Racing's Peter Hickman speaking on BBC iPlayer: "It's dead simple, if you run onto a chicane, you have to stop and put your foot down and go again.
"Michael Dunlop obviously got pulled in by me into Mather's Cross and we both missed the chicane. Michael went straight on, I cut across to the stop box and went like you're meant to.
"If you don't do that, it's a ten second penalty and that's the rules. As far as I'm concerned one of us gets a ten second penalty and the other doesn't, but who knows what's going to happen."
This is chaos. Pure chaos.
