The gap Charles Leclerc is holding at the top of the timesheets has been cut by a small amount to just over a half a second.

The car sitting behind the Ferrari man in second? Oscar Piastri-Leclerc.

    A family affair.

  6. Norris now jumps to thirdpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 25 May

Sorry, Lewis. Yuki Tsunoda in the RB and now Lando Norris have clocked better times.

During his lap, Norris was not amused by the traffic situation on the Monaco streets, calling into his McLaren team say some of his fellow drivers are "idiots". But not all of them, he stresses, just some.

Monaco is so different, it provides a very different challenge and I think in a long 24 race season, you do need a bit of variety.

Lewis Hamilton received some information from engineer Pete Bonnington a few moments ago to explain how is performing against practice leader Charles Leclerc.

The seven-time world champion is back out on the softs and goes third fastest. But that time has now been beaten by the likes of Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, George Russell and the Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso to place Hamilton sixth on the board.

We are seeing Lewis in the Mercedes this weekend a lot more comfortable in the car.

He knows what he's doing and he hasn't lost his skill or his talent despite the results of this year.
