Football League Division Three: Wicklow 2-7 1-10 Antrim

Antrim were held by a battling 13-man Wicklow in Sunday's Division Three encounter at Aughrim.

Wicklow's Dean Healy was sent-off early in the first half, which ended with the dismissal of Antrim's Michael Herron.

It was 0-4 to 0-4 at the break but the game came to life on the restart with Jack Dalton's goal for Sligo.

Tomas McCann netted for Antrim before Anthony McLoughlin's goal and Stephen Byrne was red-carded as a tight affair ended in a draw.

The wind and rain in Aughrim contributed to a dismal first half with the first point not arriving until the 16th minute thanks to Antrim's Ryan Murray.

Healy was sent-off for two yellows on 24 minutes but the game remained close before Herron was also dismissed for two cautions.

Dalton scored the opening goal after hesitant Antrim defending but the Saffrons hit back quickly as McCann netted from a penalty.

The forward had already scored two points in the half and he converted from the spot after being upended.

McLoughlin scored a superb goal in response but Sligo were reduced to 13 men after Byrne's dismissal for two yellows.

McLoughlin equalised with a point four minutes from time and the Connacht men held on for a hard-earned draw.
