Tomas Freeman injury setback for Monaghan
- Published
Monaghan are set to be without Tomas Freeman for six to eight weeks after the corner forward suffered a fractured jaw in his side's victory over Wicklow.
The corner forward had made his first start of the League campaign on Saturday, having rejoined the panel at the start of 2013.
Freeman was substituted 10 minutes into the second half following a collision with a Wicklow player.
He spent Saturday night in hospital and x-rays confirmed the jaw fracture.
The news of Kieran Hughes, who was also forced to come off during Saturday's game after falling badly, is better.
He also spent the night in hospital but was released on Sunday with no ill effects reported.
