Tyrone earned a comfortable 1-9 to 1-3 win over Donegal in the Ulster Minor Football clash at Ballybofey.
Donegal had plenty of possession but were undone by 19 wides.
Darragh O'Connor hit the opening point for Donegal but Ronan Nugent's goal helped Tyrone move into a 1-4 to 0-2 lead by the interval.
O'Connor's fisted goal cut Tyrone's lead to 1-6 to 1-2 but the Red Hands extended their lead and held on despite some late Donegal pressure.
In Sunday evening's two other Ulster Minor Championship games, Monaghan defeated Antrim 4-20 to 3-8 at Newry with Cavan edging out Fermanagh 0-12 to 2-5 at Clones.
Fearghal McMahon hit 2-6 for Monaghan in their 15-point win in the high-scoring clash at Pairc Esler.
Both McMahon's goals came in the first half with Adam Treanor also netting as Monaghan led 3-9 to 0-4 at half-time.
Antrim produced a spirited fight-back in the second half as two Gareth George goals and a three-pointer from Ruairi Scott cut Monaghan's lead to 3-14 to 3-8.
However, Monaghan regrouped to hit an unanswered 1-6 during the remainder of the game with Conor McCarthy netting the Farney men's fourth goal.
At Clones, Cavan hit the opening three points before a Sean Keenan goal levelled the contest.
The sides were still level at the break (0-5 to 1-2) but Fermanagh appeared in control after Kevin Curran hit their second goal straight after the restart.
However, Harry O'Neill, Tom Hayes and Conor Bradley were among the Cavan scorers in the remainder of the second half as the Breffni boys edged a one-point verdict.
Cavan beat Armagh 0-13 to 1-9 in last weekend's preliminary round opener.
