Irish Premiership: Glentoran 0-0 Ballymena Utd
- Published
Glentoran and Ballymena United remain level on points in mid-table after a goal-less draw at the Oval.
The most eye-catching attempt of the first half was David Scullion's attempt to curl in a 25-yard shot which the diving Dwayne Nelson did well to save.
Alan Teggart had several chances for Ballymena, the best of which he headed straight at keeper Elliott Morris.
Near the end, Scullion was denied by Nelson again and defender Jonny Taylor blocked the follow-up on the line.
"We had some half chances, no real clear-cut ones," admitted United manager Glenn Ferguson.
"Elliott Morris did not have any really good saves to make.
"But we are happy to come away from the Oval with a clean sheet and a point - it is not the worst result in the world."
