Derry book place in Ulster decider by beating Down

Ruairi Convery scored Derry's first goal in the Ulster replay

Derry booked their place against Antrim in the Ulster Senior Hurling final by beating Down 2-19 to 1-15 in Saturday's semi-final replay at Armagh.

Derry led 1-10 to 0-7 at half-time with the help of a Ruairi Convery goal from a 25 metre free on the half hour.

Convery continued to star but it was Michael Conway who got Derry's second goal in the second half and ensured a place in the final on Sunday 13 July.

The first game at Clones had ended in a 3-23 to 4-20 draw after extra-time.

Antrim beat Down in the 2013 final, which was played in February of this year.
