A number of riders from the British Superbike Championship paddock will compete at this weekend's Sunflower Trophy meeting at Bishopscourt.

English competitors Lee Jackson and Charlie Nesbitt will ride for the Hawk Racing team while Danny Kent has his first outing for Mar-Train Racing.

Richard Kerr will defend the title he won last year on the AMD Racing Honda.

Richard Cooper and Dean Harrison will be aboard the BPE by Russell Racing Supersport Yamahas.

Also taking part in the traditional end-of-season short circuit meeting in county Down will be British Supersport regular frontrunner Tom Booth-Amos and Northern Ireland's Cameron Dawson, with Gearlink Kawasakis.

Other members of the Northern Ireland contingent on the grid will include newly crowned Ulster Superbike champion Jason Lynn, plus one of his main pursuers in this year's series, McAdoo Racing pilot Korie McGreevy.

Kent will have a Yamaha at his disposal from his new team, while Jackson and Nesbitt will campaign Hondas.

Jackson finished fourth in this year's BSB championship and had his final ride on the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki at Brands Hatch last weekend following confirmation in August that he would be leaving the team after six seasons.

Reigning Sunflower champion Kerr, from Donegal, was runner-up in Sunday's final National Superstock 1000cc race of the season at Brands to secure second place in the final standings behind Dan Linfoot.

Cooper has been a regular visitor to the Hillsborough Club's meeting in recent years and secured a double at the event on his BPE by Russell Racing Yamaha 12 months ago.

Harrison, who has competed regularly for the same outfit throughout the past season, will provide strong opposition as his team-mate.

Sam Laffins, a double winner at Brands in the Junior Superstock category, is part of the entry, along with Owen Jenner, who won the championship on his Yamaha from Dawson.

Practice and the first races will be held on Friday, with the main race programme, including the feature Sunflower Trophy race, being staged on Saturday.
