Dean Harrison will ride for the factory Honda team at next year's major road race meetings and the British Superbike Championship.

Harrison moves to Honda after a seven-year stint with Kawasaki which included his 2019 Isle of Man Senior TT triumph.

His first Honda outing on the roads will be at the North West 200 in May.

Harrison, 34, will be joined by team-mates John McGuinness and Nathan Harrison in riding the Honda Fireblade superbike at the NW 200 and the TT.

Dean Harrison will also ride the Fireblade in the British Superbike series alongside Northern Irish rider Andrew Irwin, who is remaining with the team after a 2023 campaign afflicted by injury.

"I can't wait to begin a new chapter with Honda Racing UK and I jumped at the chance when this opportunity came about," said Harrison.

Both Harrisons will compete in the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport classes at the NW200 while McGuinness will limit his focus to the big bike classes.

"I am also really looking forward to being part of a multi-rider team after riding in a solo team for so long," Dean Harrison added.

"To be able to see each other's data and collaborate on ideas is going to be of great value to me.

"The short circuits are a big part of my season and I think that working with Andrew and the team will help to bring me on and push me to the next level."

Harrison will race at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland from 6-11 May before competing at the Isle of Man TT three weeks later.

The Bradford-born rider has achieved several podium positions at the North West 200 but is yet to earn a victory on the Triangle circuit.

Honda have also announced that Dubliner Jack Kennedy will ride for the team in next year's British Supersport Championship.

Kennedy has won the British Supersport series on four occasions and will spearhead the Honda factory team's return to the class for the first time since 2009.
