Great Britain archers Naomi Folkard and Alison Williamson have been eliminated from the women's individual event.
Folkard beat Russia's Kristina Timofeeva 6-4 in round one but then lost 6-2 to Mexico's Mariana Avitia in the last 32 at Lord's.
Williamson, in her sixth Olympics, went down 7-3 to Bishindee Urantungalag of Mongolia in the first round.
"I'm just sad that I'm not going to be out there again in front of the great home crowd," said Williamson.
Williamson, who won an individual bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics,, external added: "Another Olympics? Never say never. I'm definitely not ruling it out at this point, but I don't know. I'll need to sit down and have a really good think."
Folkard also paid tribute to the crowd after receiving a rapturous reception at the home of cricket.
She said: "I've never shot in front of a crowd like this. We've shot in front of school kids making loads of noise to try to put us off - but these were real fans and so many of them."
Amy Oliver, Britain's last remaining competitor in the women's event, takes on India's Deepika Kumari in the first round on Wednesday.
