Great Britain's rowers will seek to top the medal table again when they compete at the European Championships in Szeged, Hungary from 25-28 April.

You can watch the action on the BBC as the crews aim to stake their claims for Olympic selection with just three months until Paris 2024.

Great Britain have got the key boats already qualified in nine of the 14 Olympic boat classes - so GB Rowing are now working out which athletes will form those crews and these championships are set to play a key role in shaping that.

Great Britain head to Hungary hoping to finish top of the European Championships medal table for a fourth successive year.

They have already made a successful start to the season, winning five gold medals and four silvers at the opening World Rowing Cup regatta in Varese, Italy, earlier this month.

That medal haul included a British one-two in the women's four, with gold going to the crew of double Olympic champion Helen Glover, Esme Booth, Sam Redgrave and Rebecca Shorten.

"A gold medal is the best way to start the season," Glover said. "It's important to keep the consistency now - make sure we're not peaking for this, we're peaking for 100 days' time [at the Olympics]. We haven't been together in this combination for long, so finding out where we are and what we need to work on is step one for going forward."

The event in Szeged will include the Para-rowing crews taking to the water for the first time this season, having already qualified all four of their boats for the Paris Paralympics.
