Bradford Bulls second row Elliott Whitehead has been banned for the rest of the season after being found guilty of biting Hull KR forward Jordan Cox.

The 21-year-old was handed a five-match ban by a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel on Tuesday.

As Bulls missed out on the play-offs following Sunday's match, the suspension means he will also miss the first two games of next season.

In addition Whitehead will miss England Knights' games with France and Samoa.

Prior to his ban, he had been an ever-present for the Bulls this season.
