Salford City Reds have signed St Helens second row forward Matty Ashurst on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old made 14 appearances in the Super League for the runners-up this season, scoring three tries.
Ashurst made his debut for Saints in 2009 against Salford and went on to make 17 league appearances that season, before making another 20 in 2010.
The former Wigan St Judes and Chorley Panthers man becomes Matt Parish's fourth signing for the new season.
