Bradford Bulls prop Nick Scruton could be out for 12 weeks after undergoing surgery on a shoulder injury.

Scruton, 27, suffered the injury during the match at Hull KR on Saturday and a scan showed he needs a shoulder reconstruction operation.

"It's another blow for us and we're certainly under the cosh as far as injuries are concerned," said Bulls football manager Stuart Duffy.

"But we will stick together and play with the cards we're dealt."

The Bulls are eighth in Super League after winning three of their six league matches.

However, they have had numerous injuries, having lost Adrian Purtell, James Donaldson, Luke Gale, Craig Kopczak, Elliot Kear and Ian Sibbit.
