Salford City Reds have completed the permanent signing of Darrell Griffin and agreed a new deal with Marc Sneyd.

Prop Griffin, 31, has been on loan for two months at the Salford City Stadium from Leeds and has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Scrum-half Sneyd, 22, has progressed through the academy and committed himself to the club until 2015.

"I have been at Salford a long time now and I want to be here while all this exciting stuff is going on," he said.

"It's going to be a very exciting couple of years at Salford. Brian Noble has come in and it's been excellent working with him. He's a great coach."

Former Wakefield and Huddersfield forward Griffin told the club website:, external "I've been really impressed with the club and the people here since I arrived eight weeks ago. It's clearly a club and a team travelling in the right direction.

"The potential of the place is huge. If we can make some strong signings and build for next year and then again the year after, in two or three years we could be among the strongest in the game which would be excellent not just for Salford but for Super League as a whole."
