Hull FC: Adam Pearson demands cup form in Super League

Owner Adam Pearson is demanding Hull FC show the form which took them into the final of the Challenge Cup in their remaining Super League matches.
The Black and Whites belied five successive league defeats to beat favourites Warrington Wolves 16-12 in Sunday's Challenge Cup semi-final.
Pearson told BBC Radio Humberside: "We need to get this [level of performance] every week now.
"We have to try and get to the Grand Final as well as Wembley."
FC are in danger of failing to qualify for the end-of-season play-offs after slipping to eighth in the Super League table, and Pearson said Friday's league game at home to Widnes Vikings is now vital.
"The Cup has bought us time to look at where the league has gone wrong a little bit and try and get that right," he said.
"We need a big finale to the season, because quite frankly it's not been good enough.
"We want to be a regular top-four team as well as getting to cup finals, and we've made the first step now but we have to be consistent."
While acknowledging how much it meant to supporters simply to have reached Wembley, where they will play Wigan after the Warriors thrashed London 70-0 on Saturday, Pearson said it was important to bring the trophy back to East Yorkshire.
"Wembley is such a great stadium and such a great occasion, when I saw how much it meant for all the supporters it's fantastic for them, but we have to go there and win, I don't want to be coming back up the M1 as nearly men," he insisted.
He also said the additional revenue would help the club move forward.
"We've just posted big losses, about £500,000, but they were planned," Pearson explained.
"The infrastructure was so way off, we really did need to invest a lot of money in facilities and in the academy structure.
"Reaching the final is not worth what a lot of people think - it's about 15% of the gate revenue, which is about a couple of hundred thousand, but the margins in rugby league are so fine it's still a big bonus.
"The team showed what it could do on Sunday and we have to show that every week now."
