New Bradford Bulls vice-captain Luke Gale has admitted players will leave the Odsal Stadium after the club revealed their financial concerns.

The scrum-half, 25, was appointed in the deputy role to club captain Matt Diskin for the 2014 season.

Chairman Mark Moore, who took over in September, said at the time the club's "incomings do not match its outgoings".

Gale told BBC Radio Leeds: "There will be players leaving. It is a shame because we have a great squad here."

The Bulls spent over two months in administration in 2012 before Omar Khan's consortium bought the club, but Khan announced in September 2013 that he would be leaving the club because of ill health.

Moore criticised his previous incumbent's tenure, saying in a statement that "poor leadership and a lack of commercial know-how, from earlier this year, has sadly turned away many traditional sponsors and income".

Former Harlequins man Gale says there is nothing the players can do about the situation, and can only concentrate on on-field matters.

"We will work with what we have and try our best," he said. "We need to turn up to training and hopefully see all our team is still intact.

"One or two players might have disappeared, one or two might have come in but we have to deal with that.

"You don't want to see people leave but the club has to do what it has to do."

Gale, though, committed his future to the club, despite Hull FC coach Lee Radford confirming to BBC Radio Humberside last week that they have had a bid turned down for the player and now do not have any room on their salary cap.

"I am a Bradford player and see my future here," Gale added. "I love the place. I have been linked with a few clubs but I will do my job for the team."
