Bradford Bulls have released Samoa international Frank Winterstein by mutual consent.

The 27-year-old back row agreed a one-year deal with the club in October after leaving Widnes Vikings, but did not play a single game for the club.

"I am disappointed to lose anyone, but when I met Frank he did talk about an opportunity to play rugby union in Australia," said boss Francis Cummins.

"If a chance has arose elsewhere then we cannot really stand in his way."
