Warrington scored 13 tries at the Halliwell Jones Stadium

Joel Monaghan scored four tries as Warrington Wolves earned their 10th successive victory to condemn London to relegation with a 72-12 defeat.

London has had a presence in the Super League since the inaugural 1996 campaign, but the Broncos will drop down to the Championship next term.

In addition Joey Grima's side are still without a win this year after 20 games.

Warrington were dominant at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, as Ben Currie and Chris Hill also scored hat-tricks.

The defeat is London's biggest during a winless campaign in which they have conceded more than 50 points on seven occasions.

Fourth-placed Wires' remarkable winning run dates back to May and includes triumphs over the top two sides, St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.

Former Australia international Monaghan went top of Super League's 2014 try-scoring chart with two early efforts, completing his first-half hat-trick after Currie grabbed a brace and Hill went in for his first.

The Broncos' response came from Joe Keyes and Scott Moore, before Currie got on the end of a Matty Russell kick to add his third try after the interval.

Warrington completed the 13-try win as Monaghan added his fourth, Hill claimed two more and Gene Ormsby and Ben Harrison also touched down, while Chris Bridge kicked 10 conversions.

Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith:

"I thought Joel had some fantastic touches and finished off some great plays but I thought he set the example by not overdoing things.

"It could have hampered us today if we had played with a lack of control but there was good team discipline.

"It was a strong and well-disciplined performance which could easily have got out of hand by throwing the ball around willy-nilly and trying to score off every play."

London Broncos coach Joey Grima:

"As a coach I have never been beat by 72 but you get experience in adversity as well.

"However, Warrington seem to do it to us. They put 80 on us last year at home and two years ago put 80 on us at our place so at least they didn't get the 80 this time, I guess.

"We've now got to get the foundations right for next year and - to be honest - the players are not proud of how they have been playing.

"It doesn't demonstrate how they have been training but today looked like men against boys and maybe that's where we are really at."
