Tonga forward Lopini Paea will join Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a one-year contract when his Catalan Dragons deal expires at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old moved to Perpignan in 2011 after spending seven years in Australia's NRL with Sydney Roosters.

He has scored nine tries in 79 Super League appearances for the Dragons.

Wakefield coach James Webster told BBC Radio Leeds: "When we played against Catalans in July, he tore us apart as he was just too big and strong for us."
