France international full-back Morgan Escare has signed a new four-year deal with Catalan Dragons.

The 22-year-old, who was named in the Super League Dream Team for 2014 and ended the regular season with 27 tries, is in his second term in first grade.

He made his debut in 2013 and has since scored 42 tries in 44 Super League games for the Catalans.

"I love the club, it's my hometown club and it's great to commit to a long-term deal with the Dragons," Escare said.

Escare came though the club's academy and ended the 2013 season with a first international cap against the US Tomahawks in the build-up to last Autumn's World Cup.

"Morgan had an amazing season and we want to reward him for his performances and his involvement in the club with this new deal," Catalans chairman Bernard Guasch said.

"He is a real talent, he is that sort of player Super League needs, able to create the show, and I think the best is still to come for him."

Meanwhile, the RFL has confirmed Catalan Dragons have submitted for registration a playing contract signed by Australian player Todd Carney.

Acceptance of the registration is at the discretion of the RFL board of directors, who will meet within the next seven days to consider the submission.
