England international back-row Elliott Whitehead will join National Rugby League side Canberra Raiders on a two-year deal from 2016.
Whitehead, 25, has been a key figure for Catalans Dragons in Super League since his move from Bradford in June 2013, scoring 24 tries in 44 games.
He will link up with England team-mate Josh Hodgson in the Australian capital.
"I have been given the opportunity to go and play in the NRL which I have always wanted to do," Whitehead said., external
"I would like to thank the club and the fans for everything they have done for me and I'm still fully committed to the Dragons this season."
Last season was a stand-out campaign for Whitehead, as he made his international debut in the Four Nations tournament last autumn, on the back of an impressive club season in Super League which led to his selection in the 2014 Dream Team.
Canberra, coached by former Kangaroos boss Ricky Stuart, have already raided the European competition for talent.
"Elliott is a young but experienced first-grade player," Raiders CEO Don Furner told the club website., external
"We've seen so far this season the positive impact players like Josh Hodgson and Sia Soliola have had on our squad and we look forward to Elliott continuing this for our club."
