Salford: Wigan loan out James Greenwood and Oliver Gildart

James Greenwood scored three tries in his 16 appearances at London Broncos last year

Salford Red Devils have signed Wigan Warriors pair James Greenwood and Oliver Gildart on one-month loan deals.

Prop Greenwood, 23, spent last season on loan at London Broncos and has featured just once so far this year.

Gildart is yet to make a first-team appearance for Wigan, but the 18-year-old centre has been playing on a dual-registration deal at Workington.

"They are two good kids who I rate highly," said Warriors head coach Shaun Wane.

"I am sure they will want to impress whilst on loan at Salford and look forward to seeing how they get on."

Salford re-signed former hooker Wayne Godwin on a similar deal last week because of their injury and suspension problems, which left them with just 17 players to select from for their Challenge Cup loss at Championship side Leigh.
