Wigan Warriors have moved their Challenge Cup sixth round tie against Hull KR to Leigh Sports Village because of work on the pitch at the DW Stadium.

The Super League side, who share the ground with Wigan Athletic, play the Robins on Friday, 15 May at 20:05 BST.

But work is scheduled to begin that week and finish in early July.

"Unfortunately the condition of the pitch deteriorated rapidly in February and requires major renovation," said Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan., external

"Whilst it is unfortunate that we are unable to host the game at the DW Stadium, we are happy that we can keep the game within the Wigan Borough."

Wigan beat London Broncos 70-0 in the 2013 Challenge Cup semi-final at the same venue.
