Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree has extended his deal with the Super League side until the end of 2017.

The 32-year-old former England international, who made his debut for the club in 2001, has played 12 games for the Giants this season.

"There was never really any doubt that I would re-sign," Crabtree told BBC Radio Leeds.

"I don't think this will be my last new deal with the club. I expect to keep going and I don't see why I can't."

He added: "Jamie Peacock and Adrian Morley have shown that props can keep playing. I could have six years left and that excites me.

"I still have the hunger to win something and to retire having not won a major trophy would be awful."
