Wakefield have signed Castleford Tigers utility back Jordan Tansey and St Helens prop Anthony Walker.

Tansey, 28, has made 13 appearances this season, scoring six tries and has signed an 18-month deal.

Walker, 23, progressed the the youth system at Saints and has signed a contract until the end of the season.

"There is no doubting that he has got ability and on his best day he is strong and committed," chairman Michael Carter on signing Tansey.

He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I think (coach) Brian Smith sees the value in Jordan's utility and we could see him in a variety of positions over the next 12 or 13 weeks.

"I'm sure he hasn't brought Jordan in just to see him sat in the stands."

Both players could make their debut for Super League's bottom side in Wednesday's game against Hull FC.
