Corey Thompson: Widnes Vikings to sign Canterbury Bulldogs back

Corey Thompson has five tries in his 10 appearances this season

Super League side Widnes Vikings have signed Canterbury Bulldogs full-back Corey Thompson on a two-year deal from the start of next season.

The 25-year-old Australian, who can also play on the wing, made his National Rugby League debut last season after joining the Bulldogs in 2013.

He has scored 15 tries in his 35 appearances since he joined Canterbury from Eastern Suberbs Tigers.

Thompson joins Chris Bridge and Setaimata Sa as signings for 2016.
