Jonny Lomax scored a late try as St Helens kept their play-off hopes alive by coming from behind to beat Wakefield Trinity in the Super League Super 8s.
Bill Tupou went over either side of Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook's try for Saints to put Trinity up 12-6.
Two Liam Finn goals kept the hosts four points in front despite Theo Fages crossing for the visitors' second try.
But Lomax touched down after Scott Grix failed to deal with Mark Percival's kick to win it for Saints.
His try earned Justin Holbrook's side their first win in four games and lifted them to fifth in the table, one point behind fourth-placed Wakefield with two games left to play.
The victory came despite playing much of the second half without the services of prop Alex Walmsley, who left the ground when his wife went into labour.
The hosts had been strong in defence until Grix's late error, even extending their lead by two points at the start of the second-half despite being reduced to 12 men when Dean Hadley was shown yellow for a challenge on Percival.
Trinity's loss was their second at home to their opponents this season, but they remain in contention to make the play-offs for the first time since the introduction of the Super 8s system.
Chris Chester's side next face a trip to third-placed Hull FC, while St Helens host eighth-placed Huddersfield.
Wakefield head coach Chris Chester told BBC Radio Leeds:
"We're disappointed. I thought we were in control for large parts of the game but we live another day, we've got it all to do next week against Hull and then another game against Wigan.
"I'm a disappointed coach, but also pleased with the effort we've put in tonight.
"The good thing about this group of players is we win together, we lose together. Nobody will get it from me in the press, I just thought collectively we weren't good enough in the last five minutes.
"Scott Grix has probably been my best signing this season. He'll be hurting tonight but we need to put it together as soon as possible."
