Wigan Warriors produced a late flurry of tries to quell 12-man Hull Kingston Rovers and move into the Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
The Warriors led 10-4 at the break with two tries by Josh Woods and Liam Marshall to one from Chris Atkin.
Rovers had Danny Tickle sent off just before half-time but added a second score through Junior Vaivai.
Sam Tomkins, Tony Clubb and Tom Davies all crossed to put the game beyond doubt and ensure Wigan's progress.
Wigan were last season's beaten finalists and ensured they would continue in their quest to go one better this year with this success.
After a close first period, Tickle was dismissed for Rovers, while Wigan back-row John Bateman went to the sin-bin following a minor scuffle.
Tickle's departure did not halt the home side's bid to stay in the contest as Vaivai crossed, but eventually the Warriors' numerical advantage told and their 18 unanswered points in the final quarter proved telling.
Hull KR coach Tim Sheens:
"Danny was charged with retaliation, so he was defending himself. I am hoping the charge won't be as savage as if he was the aggressor.
"He got punched and he punched back. But there was some talk of a headbutt so I don't know until I get the charge sheet.
"To get the penalty off it and lose someone on a red card hurts, doesn't it?"
Wigan coach Shaun Wane:
"Chris Kendall sin binned Batty (Bateman) for pushing and it looked on the video that Danny punched him. I think the ref got it correct apart from giving them the penalty.
"But it is always tough when we come here. Hull KR are under the pump with injuries and teams, when they are under pressure like that, they fire up. That's what they did. When the opposition get a man sent-off it doesn't always work your way.
"But we have a lot of competitors like Sam Tomkins and John Bateman who managed the game towards the end."
