Wakefield (12) 20

Tries: Tupou, Horo, Wood Goals: Hampshire 4

Wakefield recovered from a slow start to draw at Leeds and deny Kevin Sinfield his first win as Rhinos boss.

Ryan Hall crossed for the hosts early on, but Trinity's Bill Tupou replied for the visitors after a clever dummy.

Leeds moved 18-6 ahead with tries from Richie Myler and Ash Handley, but Justin Horo crossed to put the visitors within six points at the break.

A Liam Sutcliffe penalty put Rhinos 20-12 up but Kyle Wood's score and a Ryan Hampshire goal earned Wakefield a draw.

The draw ends Leeds' eight-game losing run in Super League but they are three points outside the top eight with only two regular-season matches remaining and look set to compete in the Qualifiers to stay in the top flight.

Wakefield, meanwhile, remain sixth, knowing one more win will secure them a top-eight finish.

Leeds legend Sinfield was taking charge of his first home game, having overseen a heavy defeat at Castleford in his first match since taking over from Brian McDermott earlier this month.

Jacob Miller and Hampshire missed late drop-goal attempts to snatch victory for Chris Chester's side, who ended the game stronger on a greasy surface at Headingley.
