Super League strugglers Wakefield Trinity have signed Wigan's France international full-back Morgan Escare and Hull FC prop Chris Green both on loan until the end of the season.

Escare is set for his debut on Sunday at home to Hull but Green is not able to play against his parent club.

Green will be available for only four of Wakefield's five remaining games.

Relegation-threatened Wakefield are in the four-way scrum of clubs on 28 points, just two points off the bottom.

There is automatic promotion and relegation again in Super League this season, with whoever finishes bottom to be replaced by whoever wins the Championship final.

Trinity also have to play both Hull KR (away) and bottom club London Broncos (at home) in their final five games, as well as top five chasing Wigan (at home) and Warrington (away), so they have their fate in their own hands.

Escare, 27, began his career with French side Catalans Dragons before moving to Wigan for the 2017 campaign.

Green, 29, has made almost 150 appearances since making his debut for the Black & Whites in 2011.
