Huddersfield registered their first win since the restart as Luke Robinson made the perfect start to his spell in charge with victory over Wakefield.
Tries from Chris McQueen and Suaia Matagi and Jordan Turner's drop goal put the Giants 13-0 ahead at the break.
Further scores from James Gavet, Aidan Sezer and Jake Wardle wrapped up the win for the Claret and Amber.
Kelepi Tanginoa got Trinity on the scoreboard with 11 minutes to play but it was scant consolation.
Robinson was placed in caretaker charge of the Giants after Simon Woolford departed on Wednesday, only two days after announcing he would be leaving at the end of the campaign.
To add to the disruption for the Giants they were also forced to stand down three players due to coronavirus track and trace protocols.
Despite that they never looked like losing after England international McQueen scored his first Super League try after joining from West Tigers earlier this month.
It was another signing from the NRL who was the star of the show as Sezer claimed assists on three of the five tries and scored the day's best when he showed neat skill to collect his own kick and touch down.
Wakefield remain winless since the season restarted in August and are bottom of the table, while Giants are seventh.
Wakefield head coach Chris Chester told BBC Radio Leeds:
"Same rubbish, different week. It's not good enough and it's not acceptable.
"We're in a tough spot at the minute and we're just not seeing enough fight from the players. Something has got to change.
"I've seen some players tonight jump out of the way of tackles and that is a first for me.
"This is the hardest six or seven weeks that I have had as a coach and things don't look to be changing any time soon. There's a good team in there and it boils down to attitude and we're just miles off."
Huddersfield caretaker Luke Robinson told BBC Radio Leeds:
"I feel extremely proud really. It's a club that I hold dear. You never want to take it on in these circumstances but the flipside is that I'm proud to be in the position.
"Everyone has ambitions and aspirations to be a head coach and I'm no different to that. I believe in myself and I know that I am a good coach.
"My focus is to get us playing the kind of rugby we were before the lockdown. It's a really good group of players and people.
"It's big to get the win. It shows that we're a good team when we put things together."
