Nene Macdonald scored two tries in 19 Super League appearances for Leeds Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos have announced centre Nene Macdonald has left the club by mutual consent.

Macdonald joined Leeds on a two-year deal from Leigh in December 2022 and agreed an extension to 2027 in July.

The 29-year-old was given paternity leave to be at the birth of his second child in Australia in August and never came back to Headingley.

Chief executive Gary Hetherington, external said the club "wish him well in his next venture".
