London Broncos have extended Italian international Dean Parata's contract for a further season.

The 32-year-old hooker, who was born in Australia, won the Championship Player of the Year award for 2023.

Broncos returned to the Super League with an 18-14 win against Toulouse Olympique in October's Grand Final.

"Super League needs a team from London in the competition and I'm happy to play my small role in ensuring we stay there," Parata told the club website, external.

Parata started his career at semi-professional level in England in 2018 with Barrow Raiders before moves to Toulouse and Featherstone Rovers.

He joined Broncos in 2022 and represented Italy, through family heritage, in the same year at the delayed 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
