Prop James Harrison has signed a new contract extension with Warrington Wolves to run to the end of the 2026 Super League season.

The 27-year-old, who has scored five tries in 32 games since arriving at the Wire in 2022, also has a club option for a further year on top.

Ex-Leeds and Batley forward Harrison, the son of ex-Great Britain forward Karl, has 41 tries in 145 career games.

"I feel fit, fresh and I'm ready now for the new season," Harrison said.

"Sam [Burgess - new head coach] was my hero growing up and it's been really exciting to work with him. It's the first time I've been coached by someone who played in my position which has been great for advice and improving my game."

Harrison, who also played for and won the 1895 Cup at Wembley with Featherstone Rovers and had a loan spell at Oxford, was given an England call-up in last season's mid-season international against France.

"Jimmy epitomises what a Wire player looks like. He's tough, honest and most of all a great guy," Burgess said.

"It's another great signing for us and secures our middle unit moving forward."
