Warrington Wolves prop Paul Vaughan will miss their final three matches of the regular season following his red card in Friday's defeat by Leigh Leopards.

The Australia international is among five players to be suspended by the Rugby Football League after he received a Grade D Penalty Notice for head contact on Owen Trout in the first half.

Vaughan will now miss matches against St Helens, Huddersfield Giants and London Broncos at a crucial time of the season as the Wolves look to secure a play-off spot.

The RFL also confirmed Huddersfield Giants prop Fenton Rogers has received two separate suspensions and will miss four games.

Rogers was banned for three matches for a head contact charge in the first half of his side's 18-10 defeat by St Helens and one further game for Grade B dangerous contact charge.

He has also been fined £250.

Giants teammate Sam Hewitt has also received a one-match ban for the same dangerous contact offence.

Castleford prop Sylvester Namo has picked up a two-match suspension for a Grade C dangerous contact offence, following his late tackle in the second half of Tigers' 39-20 win at Hull FC, which earned him a yellow card.

Tigers' Liam Horne is banned for one match after being sent to the sin bin in the same match for an offence, deemed a Grade B head contact.

St Helens' Jonny Lomas, London Broncos' Will Lovell and Salford Red Devils' Brad Singleton all received £250 fines for Grade B offences carried out at the weekend.
