Warrington Wolves centre Connor Wrench has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

The Wire confirmed that the 22-year-old has undergone surgery on the knee injury he sustained in the 48-0 win over Huddersfield last week.

Wrench scored three tries in nine Super League games for the Wolves this season.

Sam Burgess' men are third in the table, four points behind leaders Wigan having played a game more.
