England hooker Daryl Clark has extended his contract with St Helens until the end of the 2027 season.

The 32-year-old, who is in Shaun Wane's national squad for the upcoming Ashes Test series, was already under terms until 2026 but Saints have moved to tie down one of their most consistent performers.

Clark joined Saints from Warrington Wolves last year and has since made his 400th career appearance and scored his 100th career try.

He told the club website, external that new head coach Paul Rowley's style of rugby will suit him: "I think the way Paul likes to play is very much how I like to play, too. He likes expansive rugby and to move the ball around, get quick plays off the ruck, which plays into my hands."
