Australian Curtis Sironen wants to help St Helens back to the top after agreeing a new two-year deal with the Super League side.
Sironen, 32, joined Saints in 2022 from Manly Sea Eagles and his new contract will take him until the end of the 2027 season.
The back-rower helped Saints secure a fourth successive Super League title by winning the 2022 Grand Final and was also key in their historic 2023 World Club Challenge victory over Penrith Panthers in Australia.
"Being a Saint reignited my love for rugby league again. Being here, I've met great people, made lifelong friends and even started my family," he told the club website, external.
"I'm over the moon to still be part of this great club. We want to get back to winning ways. I also want to help the younger boys coming through and leave my mark on my career here."
Sironen is closing in on a century of Saints appearances.
"I want to get to 100 games for the club as soon as I can," he added. "Hopefully, a strong pre-season will set me up for it and I can hit the ground running.
"I want to build on last year and find ways to keep getting better."
