York Valkyrie captain Sinead Peach has been banned for four matches by the Rugby Football League.
Peach was charged with using unacceptable language and questioning the integrity of a match official in their defeat by St Helens on 30 August.
Chairman Clint Goodchild said in a statement after the incident: "Sinead expressed genuine remorse immediately for the comment and understands the serious nature of the situation."
She sat out Sunday's win over Leeds Rhinos and will miss York's play-off campaign.
Peach, the 2023 Woman of Steel winner, returned to the sport this year after sitting out the whole of last season for the birth of her first child.
