Castleford Tigers half-back Rowan Milnes has joined Hull KR on an initial two-week loan.
Milnes played for the Robins for four seasons before he went to Castleford at the end of the 2023 campaign.
But with scrum-half Tyrone May suspended for the next two matches for questioning the integrity of a match official and back-up half Danny Richardson injured, the Super League leaders have brought in the 27-year-old, who has played 12 games for the Tigers this year.
However, with Hull KR hosting Castleford this Saturday, it has been agreed that Milnes will not feature in that match.
"We need to bring in a half or a back-up half for a couple of reasons, possibly for games but also for training," Robins head coach Willie Peters told BBC Radio Humberside.
"We do a fair bit of 13 v 13 so we like to have a senior half there and running the different plays that the opposition's going to run against us and Rowan will obviously do a great job doing that."
