Huddersfield sign Australian forward Powell

Huddersfield Giants have signed Australian forward Tristan Powell on a deal until the end of the 2027 season.

Powell, 24, who can play anywhere in the pack, has been playing for Burleigh Bears in the Queensland Cup.

Last year, he made one appearance in the NRL for Melbourne Storm.

"I'm buzzing to have made the move, I'm really excited to show what I can do for the Giants and in the Super League," Powell told the club's website.

Huddersfield are currently 11th in Super League with just one win from their 11 matches.
